Infrared Sauna at Foundations Naturopathic Clinic

Infrared Sauna Therapy

A clinically-guided heat therapy service at Foundations Naturopathic Health

Infrared sauna therapy is available at Foundations Naturopathic Health as a clinically-guided service provided within our naturopathic care setting.

Unlike traditional saunas that primarily heat the air around you, infrared saunas use gentle radiant heat designed to warm the body more directly. This allows sessions to be performed at lower ambient temperatures, which some people may find more comfortable.

At our clinic, all infrared sauna sessions include an ND assessment and individualized plan, with your naturopathic doctor remaining on site and available throughout your visit.

Whether used as a standalone appointment or incorporated into a broader care plan, infrared sauna therapy may be used to support relaxation, circulation, physical recovery, and overall comfort.

Why choose infrared sauna therapy in a clinical setting?

Unlike infrared sauna sessions offered at spas, gyms, or wellness studios, our sessions are provided within a naturopathic clinical setting.

Each visit includes:

  • ND assessment and safety screening

  • individualized session recommendations

  • clinical oversight throughout the appointment

  • guidance on temperature, timing, hydration, and recovery

This allows your session to be tailored to your health goals and medical history.

This is especially helpful for individuals seeking support as part of a broader health plan or those who are new to naturopathic care.

What is infrared sauna therapy?

Infrared sauna therapy uses infrared heat to gently warm the body.

Traditional saunas heat the surrounding air first, while infrared heat is designed to warm the body more directly through radiant heat.

Our clinic uses the Clearlight Sanctuary 1 infrared sauna, a full-spectrum infrared sauna designed for individual use in a comfortable and private setting.

Because the temperature is generally lower than a traditional sauna, many patients find the experience easier to tolerate.

Sessions also include time for a cool-down period before returning to your day.

How infrared sauna therapy may support your care

Infrared sauna therapy may be incorporated into naturopathic care plans to support:

  • relaxation and stress response

  • circulation and vascular function

  • physical recovery and muscle comfort

  • post-exercise recovery

  • general restorative support

Recommendations are individualized based on your health goals, medical history, and tolerance.

Where clinically appropriate, your ND may recommend a specific temperature range, session duration, and frequency.

You do not need to be an existing naturopathic patient to get started.

This may include discussion of:

  • blood pressure concerns

  • dizziness or orthostatic symptoms

  • hydration needs

  • current medications

  • pregnancy status where relevant
