Meet Dr. Vanessa Yu, ND
Naturopathic Doctor at Foundations Naturopathic Health in New Westminster, BC
My Approach to Care
I believe in creating a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel truly heard. My goal is to help you understand your health, feel confident in the decisions you make, and move toward greater wellbeing at a pace that feels right for you.
Every person is different, which means every treatment plan should be too. I take time to understand your health history, lifestyle, and values so we can shape a care plan that supports your day-to-day life—not complicate it.

Below are some of the areas I commonly support in practice. This list is not exhaustive, but it reflects the types of concerns people often bring to their naturopathic visits with me.

Stress & Burnout
Helping you recognize patterns, restore energy, and find practical ways to improve emotional resilience.
Sleep Support
Addressing difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking unrefreshed with a whole-person approach.
Pain, Tension & Mobility
I offer both acupuncture and Bowen Therapy to support soft-tissue tension, chronic pain, and musculoskeletal discomfort.

Treatment Options I Provide
My goal is to offer evidence-informed care using a combination of traditional healing systems and modern naturopathic medicine.

Bowen Therapy

Practical and realistic guidance for nutrition, stress management, sleep strategies, and daily routines.
Herbal & Supplement Recommendations
Thoughtfully selected options when helpful, keeping treatments safe, targeted, and purposeful.
Why I Became a Naturopathic Doctor
I’ve always been drawn to a style of care that looks at the full picture—physical, mental, and emotional. Naturopathic medicine allows me to work in a way that honours the individuality of each person and supports genuine, sustainable change.
I value listening deeply, asking meaningful questions, and empowering patients with clear, understandable information so they can feel confident in their health journey.
